LISD Core Content Curriculum is written by LISD Teacher Curriculum Writing Teams facilitated by LISD Curriculum Administrators.  All LISD curriculum is based on the work of Understanding By Design written by Jay McTighe and Grant Wiggins.

LISD Curriculum utilizes the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) as a foundation for learning goals each nine weeks.  In addition, through the use of Essential Questions and Enduring Understandings students can connect their learning across grade levels and to real-world applications. We encourage parents to engage in an understanding of the components that are utilized at each grade level in each curriculum unit.

    GRADE LEVEL CURRICULUM OVERVIEWS

Located on each grade level link under "HOME" you will find Core Content Curriculum Overviews by nine weeks.

These Core Content Curriculum Overviews can provide information regarding the learning goals for each content area by nine week grading periods.
