Instructions for Download/Importing the current LISD Calendar

The calendars can be downloaded and imported into your Palm Desktop or Microsoft Outlook calendar, and then synchronized with your PDA. This calendar includes all of the dates in the approved school calendar, including holidays, teacher in-service days, grading period end dates, and testing dates (TAKS, PSAT, SAT, ACT).

Excel format    To download either the Excel Format (.xls) or the tab delimited version of the calendar, simplty right click on the file name and choose save target as.

PDA -  Palm Desktop Software:

Microsoft Outlook (GroupWise Add-in):

1.  If you are using Internet Explorer: download the current calendar .csv file by right-mouse clicking here and selecting "Save Target As...". Pay attention to where you're saving the file!!

2.  Open Outlook.

3.  Select "Import and Export" from the File menu.

4.  Select "Import from another program or file" and click the Next button.

5.  Select "Comma Separated Values (Windows) and click the Next button.

6.  Click on the Browse button and find the file you just downloaded.

7.  Click on "Do not import duplicate items" and click the Next button.

9.  When the screen "The following actions will be performed..." comes up, click the Finish button.
