"Academic Excellence and Quality Citizenship, McKamy Commands and Conquers." That has been our motto since the school opened in the fall, 1997. As McKamy begins its eighth year, the school has truly excelled in the areas of Academic Excellence and Quality Citizenship. McKamy has had numerous successes over the past few years, including standardized test scores, all Fine Arts programs, athletic and student organizations. McKamy students and staff have been recognized for their achievements throughout our community and school district. As we continue to grow and excel, the McKamy Knights will be leading the way. McKamy MS received Gold Performance Acknowledgments from the Texas Education Agency in 2006-07 for: Attendance (2005-06); Commended on Reading/ELA, Writing, Mathematics and Social Studies; and Comparable Improvement - Reading/ELA.
