Forestwood Middle School, home of the Falcons, was established in 1993 and has been designated an Exemplary or Recognized campus from its inception. Forestwood enjoys a rich tradition of excellence and we make it a habit to recognize the “A” Honor Roll students, “A/B” Honor Roll students, and those achieving perfect attendance each six-week grading period. Each team of teachers identifies students achieving special accomplishments with the invitation to our Falcon Fiesta as a reward for their hard work. On the average, we recognize 70% of our student body for their achievements in school each six-week grading period. Additionally, the Texas Education Agency announced that Forestwood Middle School is rated a “recognized” school having met “Adequate Yearly Progress” as a result of our 2006 – 2007 TAKS scores. Forestwood Middle School received Gold Performance Acknowledgments in 2006-07 for: Attendance (2005-06) and Commended on Reading/ELA, Writing, Mathematics and Social Studies.
