Mandatory Substitute Training
(by invitation only)

All Substitute Teacher Candidates must finalize the application process by attending a mandatory training session.

You are required to download and bring a copy of the LISD Substitute Handbook in order to be Admitted to the training session.

Substitute Training will consist of a Morning and Afternoon Session:

• LISD Policies and Procedures
• Legal Issues
• Special Education Issues

Afternoon Session:

• Classroom Management
• Instructional Strategies

All candidates will attend the morning and afternoon sessions and will be dismissed at 4:30 p.m.
