    Beginner Orchestra:
     
    Classes are grouped by instrument so that each student receives individual and small group instruction. Sixth graders will learn how to read music along with the basic skills involved in playing a string instrument. Students participate in four annual concerts and Funfest at Sandy Lake in the spring.
     
    Concert Orchestra:
     
    This orchestra is made up of 7th and 8th graders. Activities throughout the year include participation in four annual concerts as well as several extracurricular performances such as All-District & All-Region Orchestra auditions, UIL contest, Solo & Ensemble performances, and Spring in the Park Festival at Six Flags. 
     
    Philharmonic Orchestra:
     
    This orchestra is the most advanced string ensemble; all students are placed by audition. Members will participate in four annual concerts as well as several extracurricular performances such as All-District & All-Region Orchestra auditions, UIL contest, Solo & Ensemble performances, and Spring in the Park Festival at Six Flags. The group is also responsible for planning the annual Elementary Tour in the spring.
