| District considers new boundary map, holds public hearing |
 |
As has been the standard practice in LISD,
the Board of Trustees will hold a public
hearing concerning the new boundaries for
Independence Elementary on Feb. 12 at 6:30
p.m. at Killian
Middle School. Independence Elementary
will officially open for the 2008-09 school year.
The public hearing is not required by law,
however, LISD officials want to ensure that
all community concerns are heard before the
boundaries are adopted.
Today, the LISD administration has proposed a
third boundary option that is posted on www.lisd.net.
