Flower
Mound High School Cross Country Coach
Andrew Cook recently decided to forfeit the
opportunity to participate in the U.S.
Olympic Team Trials in order to be with his
team in Lubbock for the regional meets.
Cook qualified to participate in the U.S.
Olympic Team Trials after winning the San
Francisco Marathon this summer. The trials,
held in New York City, happened to fall on
the same weekend the team would be in Lubbock.
LISD salutes Coach Cook for his commitment to
the Flower Mound High School Cross Country
Team and for making such a sacrifice to
support students.
