LHS Theatre to present The Complete
Works of William Shakespeare
The Lewisville
High School
Theatre Department will present The
Complete Works of William Shakespeare
Sept. 27 - 29 at 7 p.m. and on Sept. 30 at 2
p.m. in the school's Stuver Auditorium.
Tickets are $6 for adults, $5 for students
and $4 for seniors and children under 10.
LHS has been asked to perform this play at
the state International Thespian Convention
(ITC) with the possibility of it being
performed at the National ITC in Lincoln,
Nebraska later this year.
Marcus holds art show at Starbucks
The Marcus
High School Art
Department is presenting a Starbucks Art Show
titled About Face at the Starbucks
located at 2200 Justin Rd. in Flower Mound
until Oct. 9.
The artwork featured will be a colorful
"face-based" assortment of wall art based on
the multi-plane qualities of the human face.
AVID program looking for tutors
Tutoring positions are available for the AVID
program in LISD. Tutoring is scheduled during
the school day on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Tutors will work with small groups of middle
and high school students, under the
supervision of a teacher. Tutors must attend
training workshops and will be compensated
for this training. All tutors must pass a
criminal background check.
AVID is a fourth- through twelfth-grade
system that prepares students for college
eligibility. If

LISD Special Education Dept. holding Early
Education Screenings
LISD
Special Education will hold Early
Education screenings Sept. 27 - 28 from 8
a.m. - 4 p.m. to identify children residing
in the district who may have a disability.

Bridlewood hosts Texas PTA speaker, CPE
credits given
Bridlewood
Elementary is
hosting Carey Dabney, a Texas PTA guest
speaker, who will share information about
nutrition on
Thursday, Sept. 27, at 9 a.m. in the school's
cafeteria. This class qualifies for
Continuing Professional Education credits.
