Fling
The LISD
Education Foundation (LEF) will host
its Spring Fling on May 19 from 1 - 6 p.m. at
Hawaiian Falls, 4400 Paige Rd. in The Colony.
Tickets are $10, $2 of which goes to LEF. Hot
dog or hamburger meals will be $3.50 and an
all-day drink pass is $3.99.

The Colony Early Childhood PTA to meet
The Colony Early Childhood PTA will hold its
next meeting on May 7 at 9:30 a.m. in the
First United Methodist Church, 4901 Paige Rd.
in The Colony.
During the meeting, the group will
induct new officers and hold a silent
auction. Reservations for childcare during

Greater Lewisville Special Education PTSA
hosts special meeting
The Greater Lewisville Special Education PTSA
will hold a special meeting titled "Effective
Parent Participation in the ARD Meeting" on
May 3 from 7 - 9 p.m. at the LISD Special
Services Building, 400 W. Main St. in Lewisville.
Social time and refreshments will start at 6
p.m. and the group's general meeting will
start at 6:30 p.m.
Educational professionals and parents are
welcome to attend. Reservations are

FFA Booster Clubs sponsors golf tournament
The Marcus and Lewisville High Schools
Booster Clubs are sponsoring the second
annual LISD FFA Golf Tournament on June 11 at
the Bridlewood Golf Club in Flower Mound.
Registration starts at 11 a.m. and there will
be a shotgun start at 1:30 p.m. The
tournament is limited to the first 120
players. Early registration is available
prior to May 15 for $100 per player.

Carrollton Early Childhood PTA to meet
The Carrollton Early Childhood PTA will meet
May 11 from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. at the Holy
Covenant Church, located at the intersection
of Peters Colony and Josey Lane in Carrollton.
This will be the group's last meeting until
September and will feature a brunch and the
annual installment of new officers for the
next year.

visitors and a small charge for returning

present the play Into the Woods Jr. on
May 11 at 7 p.m. and May 12 at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Congratulations to the Bridlewood DI team
LISD Destination ImagiNation is proud to
announce that the fifth-grade boys team
from Bridlewood
Elementary won first place at the Texas
State DI Tounament on April 14.
The team competed in the improvisational
challenge called Switching Traditions.
The team is managed by Teri Guthrie and the
team members are Austin Guthrie, Matthew
Schier, Ben Kelton, Michael Castle and Ian
Campbell. The team will advance to the Global
Tournament on May 23-26 in Tennessee.
