Jackson Early Childhood Center to hold
garage sale
The Lillie
Jackson Early Childhood Center will have
a giant garage sale to benefit children's
cancer projects on April 21 from 8 a.m. to
noon in the school's parking lot.
Funds raised will also help benefit the
family of Santiago Dominguez a Lillie
Jackson student, who is currently undergoing
cancer treatment, as well as St. Jude's
Children's Cancer Research Hospital.
Donald Elementary hosts Family Fun
Night
Donald
Elementary wil host a Family Fun
Night on April 13 from 6 - 9 p.m. at the
school.
The event will include bounce houses,
carnival games, food and drinks, a bake sale
and a silent auction. The event is open to
the community. Tickets will be available at
the door for $1 for a pack of four.
FMHS Colorguard holds mini-camp
The Flower
Mound High School Colorguard will host a
mini-camp on April 21 from 9 a.m. - 12:30
p.m. in the school's gymnasium for all girls
interested in learning how to spin flags,
toss a rifle and dance with sabers.
Students will be grouped by grade level. A
$30 registration fee will cover the half-day
class, a camp T-shirt, a mid-morning snack
and activity supplies. Registration forms may

The Colony Early Childhood PTA holds
meeting for upcoming kindergarten students'
parents
The Colony Early Childhood PTA will host a
meeting for parents of children enrolling in
kindergarten this fall on April 12 at 7 p.m.
in the Ethridge
Elementary cafeteria.
Parents will have the opportunity to speak
with education experts, your child's future
teachers, principals and PTA leaders. This is
not a members-only meeting. Childcare for
children age 3 and older will be provided
free of charge.

Marcus hosts college financial aid night
Marcus
High School will host a college financial
aid night for parents of juniors and seniors
on April 17 at 7 p.m. in the auditorium.
Beverly Henry Wheeler, past president of the
National Association for College Admission
Counseling, will speak and answer
questions for parents.
Marcus counselors will also discuss
graduation plans, what is important to
consider for the college bound, college
resources, ACT/SAT testing dates, financial
aid and more.
Hebron HS Theatre Booster Club announces
activity dates
Hebron
High School's Theatre
Booster Club has announced its spring
activity dates.
The club will host a car wash on April 21
from 8:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. in the parking lot
of Arby's at the corner of Josey Lane and
Hebron Parkway. The club has also teamed up
with McAlister's Deli so that the restaurant
will donate a portion of the revenue
generated on April 30 from 6 - 9 p.m. from
all customers who mention they are there to
support the booster club. The HHS Theatre
Booster Club will host a Dessert Theatre on
May 16 at 8 p.m. During the Dessert Theatre,
students will perform while audience members
have refreshments for $5.

LISD Council of PTAs hosts vendor fair
The LISD Council of PTAs will host a vendor
fair on April 28 from 9 a.m. to noon at Killough
Lewisville High School - North.
Anyone needing to raise funds for an
organization is encouraged to come and see
what more than 100 area vendors have to
offer. The PTA with the most attendees will
win $100. The fair is open to the community.

The Flower
Mound High School faculty versus students
basketball game has been moved to April 11 at
7 p.m. in the school's main gymnasium.
Admission is $5 per person.
Greater Lewisville Special Education PTA
holds meeting
The Greater Lewisville Special Education PTA
will host a meeting titled "Positive
Communications: Win-Win Solutions" on April
12 from 7 - 9 p.m. at the LISD Special
Services Building, 400 W. Main St. in
Lewisville. This is the same program that was
scheduled March 29 but canceled due to weather.
The featured speaker will be Ivan Vance,
senior consultant for parent involvement and
mental health issues at the Region 10

Bridlewood holds book fair
Bridlewood
Elementary will
hold its spring book fair the week of April
20-27.
The school will be participating in the
One For Books program, which contributes
one book for every dollar donated to several
non-profit organizations such as Kids in
Distressed Situations, Inc., National Center
for Family Literacy and Toys for Tots.

host a football passing camp June 18-22 from
7:30 - 10:30 a.m. each day at the school's
stadium.

Elementaries hosting multi-cultural events
Wellington
Elementary will host its multi-cultural
event titled It's a Small World After
All on April 24.
The event will include a representative from
the Irish School of Dance, a flamenco
guitarist, Indian dancers and a second-grade
Chinese parade.
Valley
Ridge Elementary will also host a
multi-cultural event titled A Passport to
the World on April 26.
During the morning, students will listen to
storyteller Ayubu Kamau and his African
drums. Starting at 6 p.m., there will be
international coffees and desserts followed
by performances by Latino dancers, Irish
cloggers and martial artists.
