Public swim free this week at Aquatic
Center
The LISD Aquatic Center will be free during
public swim times this week in honor of the
facility's official ribbon cutting that
took place on Monday.
The new Aquatic Center is located at 5729
Memorial Drive in The Colony. For more

LISD's Number Sense tournament date
LISD's third annual Number Sense Tournament will
be held on March 12 at 4:30 p.m. at the Bolin

ImagiNation tournament
The TVNC Regional Destination ImagiNation
tournament will be held March 3 at Old
Settlers Elementary and McKamy
Middle School, starting at 8 a.m.

LHS PTA to hold Farmer Auction
The Lewisville
High School PTA will hold its annual
Farmer Auction on March 2 in the school's
cafeteria.
The preview will start at 6 p.m. and the
auction will start at 7 p.m. Food from
Landmark Grill will be available.
FMHS Rosettes to perform Spring Show
The Flower
Mound High School
Rosettes will present their annual Spring
Show March 1-3 at 7 p.m. in the school's
auditorium.
Advance tickets are available for $5 general
seating and $10 reserved seating. Tickets
will also be sold at the door for $8 general
seating and $12 reserved seating.

CECPTA announces March meeting
Carrollton Early Childhood PTA will have its
next meeting on March 9 from 9:30 - 11:30
a.m. at the Holy Covenant Church, located at
Josey Lane and Peters Colony in Carrollton.
March's meeting will feature Kimberly Higgins
of Texas' Child Protective Services, who will
discuss the definitions, signs and prevalence
of abuse and neglect in children.

Writing contest entries being accepted
All LISD third-through fifth-graders are
invited to submit their favorite piece of
narrative writing to be considered for the
second annual District Writing Project by
March 16.
Entries will be evaluated on originality,
organization and coherence, development of
ideas, focus on selected topic and voice.
Three authors from each grade level will be
recognized with certificates and trophies at a
reception on May 7 at Huffines
Middle School.
To submit a piece for the competition, simply
give entries to the student's teacher. For

Hebron HS to host Percussion Concert
Hebron
High School will host a Percussion
Concert on March 10 at 3 p.m. in the school's
auditorium. Percussion ensembles from Creek
Valley and Arbor
Creek Middle Schools will also perform as
well as 14-time Grammy nominated
percussionist Will Kennedy.
Tickets are on sale for $5 at the Hebron High
School front office Monday - Friday from 8
a.m. - 4 p.m. Tickets will be $7 at the door.
