Thank you to each of who attended and supported the Community Pancake Breakfast (thank you to Patricia Gonzalez, Jill Lee, and Rose Loveland for planning and carrying out), the 16 staff members who participated in Bowling for Scholars, each of the PTA room representatives who planned and carried out Heart Parties on behalf of our students led by coordinator Kelly Dadabo, those of you who participated in the 21 Day Challenge, and to each of you who purchased a 15th Anniversary Gala Night ticket!
Thank you for returning your 2017-2018 Reserve a Spot forms for next school year to the homeroom teacher of your student as soon as possible and no later than Tuesday, February 21, please. This information helps us plan student to teacher ratios for the next school year.
Fifth grade class gift donations are due to the fifth grade teachers by Friday, February 24, please. Thank you for contributing to the Eagle Legacy!
School will not be in session Friday, February 17, so that staff may participate in professional learning.
There will be no school Monday, February 20, in recognition of Presidents Day.
Liberty PTA will host a Reflections Reception for all students and their families who submitted entries into the contest this school year on Tuesday, February 21, in the library at 6:00pm.
The February PTA membership meeting and Belles performance will be Tuesday, February 21, in the cafeteria at 6:30pm.
February student birthday celebrations from PTA will be held during the lunches Wednesday, February 22, in the cafeteria.
Fourth and fifth grade benchmark assessments will be taken on Wednesday and Thursday, February 22 and 23. We will be on an amended schedule both days and that schedule is included below.
The February Student Council meeting will be Wednesday, February 22, from 3:00pm to 4:00pm.
The annual LISD PTA Founders Dinner will be held at the Circle R Ranch at 6:00pm Thursday, February 23.
Everyone is invited to dress in Dr. Seuss character wear for our Friday, February 24, spirit day.
The Belles will be performing at the FMHS Rosettes Spring Show on Friday, February 24, at 7:00pm. Tickets are available online at FMHSRosette.com for $7.00 open seating and $10.00 reserved seating.
February 27 through March 3 is Jump Rope for Heart Week, Texas Public Schools Week, and Educational Diagnosticians Week!
Make plans now to attend our annual spring open house for student led presentations Thursday, March 2, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm! Open house will conclude with an all families and staff gathering in the cafeteria at 5:30pm to round out our 15th Anniversary celebration this school year! Cupcakes will be available throughout the event.
Friday, March 3, is Eagle spirit day with everyone encouraged to wear the Liberty spirit wear!
Friday, March 3, will be a busy day with Belles dress rehearsal performances at 8:15am and 8:45am and fifth grade growth and development sessions with Nurse Lori at 10:00am for the girls and 11:30am for the boys.
Our 15th Anniversary Gala Night will be held Friday, March 3, from 7:00pm to 10:00pm at the Bridlewood Golf Club.
The Belles will be in competition at Lewisville High School throughout the day Saturday, March 4. They would love to have as big a cheering section as we can give them. Admission is charged at the door the day of the competition. Good luck Liberty Belles!
The annual third grade field trip to the symphony will be Friday, March 10 from 11:30am to 2:30pm for the 12:30pm concert.
We have a few copies of the formal Liberty group pictures available for $13.00 cash each. If you would still like to have a keepsake photo of Choir, Dodgeball, Green Squad, News Team, or Volleyball please see Kim Castagnino in the main office. Availability is a first come, first served opportunity.
Our PTA electronics recycling drive is throughout the month of February and is coordinated by Stephanie Powell. Please send in the following items: computers, phones, iPads, iPods, printer cartridges, and digital cameras. Collection boxes are located outside the main entrance to our school.
